Smoky Cape Retreat is a 4 STAR rated neo-tuscan style retreat situated in a beautiful bush setting surrounded by a wonderful selection of wildlife.
Smoky Cape Retreat is situated in Arakoon (close to South West Rocks), midway between the Smoky Cape Lighthouse and the Historic Trial Bay Gaol, it is a short 5 hour drive north of Sydney and 5 hours south of the Gold Coast - a perfect half way stop.
South West Rocks offers many activities which include diving, fishing, surfing, sailing, whale watching and spectacular bush walking with scenic views. Smoky Cape Retreat offers a lawn tennis court, gazebo, saltwater pool, BBQ facilities.
There are 4 different styles of rooms:
Garden Suites and Heritage Room are queen size with double spa tuscan styled bathrooms. The Garden Suites have enclosed courtyards off the bathroom.
The Lounge Suite is king size with a separate lounge area and an en suite with shower over the bath.
The Studio Suite is king size with walk in shower in the en suite The Studio is lapdog friendly.
All rooms have:
* reverse cycle air conditioning
* private separate entrances
* sound systems
* DVD player (DVDs available FREE from reception)
* fluffy bathrobes and bathroom accessories
and all are supplied with home made biscuits, plunger coffee and a selection of teas
All suites are non-smoking, however outside smoking areas are provided.
In-house dining at our BYO restaurant is available where Mary (who is the Chef and Owner), will showcase fresh local produce. The menu is changed regularly and special dietary requirements are catered for.
If you wish a courtesy bus is available to the South West Rocks Country Club.
